New Connections Second Annual Symposium
Meeting Reimbursement
New Connections will reimburse participants for travel and registration costs
associated with attendance. The reimbursement will be calculated as follows:
- Travel reimbursement is based on 1 round-trip ticket for airfare plus up
to $100 to cover the cost of taxi, airport, and hotel parking expenses .
Attendees that choose to drive their own car will be reimbursed at the federal
rate of 50.5 cents/mile plus . Travel reimbursement will NOT exceed stated
amounts and original receipts must accompany request for reimbursement.
- Thanks
to our partnership with AcademyHealth, New Connections Symposium attendees
can register for the AcademyHealth annual meeting at a reduced rate of $445.
The discount code along with details on how to register will be emailed to
accepted participants. Please note that Symposium attendees are
not required to attend nor register for AcademyHealth's annual meeting
in order to attend the Symposium.
- New
Connections will pay for up to 3 nights of hotel rooms (not incurred hotel
incidentals) at Jury's Hotel in DC, specifically Friday, June 6-Sunday,
June 8, 2008.
- Participants
who fail to arrive at the Hotel will forfeit all reimbursement.
- Costs
must be incurred between April 1, 2008-June 9, 2008.
- All expenses incurred
while sightseeing and dining are covered by the participant and
are not reimbursed (cabs to and from restaurants).
- Participants who change
their flight after booking it through our vendor will be responsible
for paying the $100 fee.
- New
Connections will not accept partial attendees. Participants must attend
both full-day sessions on Saturday, June 7 and Sunday, June 8. Attendance
will be taken on both days by program staff. Please click

- Accepted
participants who fail to attend the Symposium will not be eligible for future
New Connections training programs.
- Total
reimbursement will not exceed $1000 per participant.
